
The snow may continue to pile up, but here's to another week of running, in the bank. And this was a caaah-razy one! To sum it up:
Monday: Cycling
Tuesday: 4 miles @ 9:13 pace
Wednesday: 3 miles @ 9:40 pace
Thursday: Rest
Friday: 2 miles, 10x1 minute intervals @ 8:00 pace, 2 miles (5 miles total)
Saturday: 12 miles @ 10:00 pace
Sunday: 3 miles
Total Weekly Mileage: 27 miles
The highs and lows this week were my long run (blissful) the tempo run (grr, I'm really starting to hate that one). I did my long run on Saturday in the slushy disgusting freezing rain, and for some unexplainable reason, I enjoyed every minute of it. I found a new route through the neighborhoods behind campus, and it was so refreshing to see new scenery. Although, when I returned to the homestead wearied and soaked to the bone, I asked myself once again: why am I so hell-bent on putting myself in mortal danger? This is unclear.
The tempo runs are turning out to be a challenge for me, physically and mentally. I guess I just really don't like to run fast. But seriously, 9:13 pace shouldn't be such a challenge, I think I'm just psyching myself out. This week I'll put on my game face.
This weekend was a fabulous one, because it was Megan's birthday! Happy Birthday Megan!

So we made some beautiful cupcakes. And I also had my two favorite ladies (and running divas) come and visit me and inspire me with their badness! What a treat!
