Inspiration Station

My posts have been sort of heavy lately, so I think it's time to lighten things up, and get back to what we're all about here: Extreme Outfits. Since it's summer time, I thought it might be fun to give a recommended reading list, in the form of...what else...fashion blogs! Here's a list of places that I turn for sartorial inspiration.
  1. The Glamourai: Kelly Framel is a stylist and jewelry designer. Her blog has transitioned from pure daily wear fashion to some more editorial stuff, and "lifestyle" accoutrements, but the fanciful spirit lives on. Although, I must say, her short hair kicks her long hair in the butt.
  2. Fashion Toast: Rumi Neely is a model (I think) who keeps this blog of beautiful photos and fashion ideas. Everything about her is light, floating, and beautiful in a most exotic way. Every time I get sucked into her blog, I realize that I have a total life crush on her (that's the kind of crush where I just want to take over her life...seriously, she sits around drinking coffee in lush flower beds like it's her job).
  3. De Lune: Claire Geist is a...student? I'm not sure what she does IRL, but this chick can cook up some marvie outfits.
Then, if I'm really hard up, there's always Man Repeller or The Style Rookie. But, beware, the fashion blog is a seductive creature, and before you know it you'll be doing things like wearing arm parties, calling your sunglasses "sunnies," and always posing for photos with one of those awkward half-piedgeon-toed-half-legs-crossed blogger poses. So, there you have it.
