My Last Day, In Pictures

Somehow my last day at NPR has arrived. This has been such a great experience, but I would be straight-up deceiving you if I said I'm not happy it's over. More than I'm happy for this learning and growing experience to end, I'm so exciting for my next learning and growing opportunity to begin. But before I cast my gaze too far ahead, let's enjoy this moment...in photos!

Here I am in the NPR newsroom, and it's just what I always thought a newsroom would look like. The gentleman to my right is my mentor and collaborator, the inimitable Joe Palca. If you've heard anything about holes on All Things Considered this summer -- black holes, donut holes, existential holes -- that was our handiwork.

Of course no workspace is complete without a thinking couch. It's just like my office at Wesleyan, except so much more...something.

Here I am looking like a boss in a recording booth. I'm sure I just got off a phoner with some NASA scientist, or Berkeley big shot.

And my desk, where the magic happens. This is were my co-intern Jess and I sit and dream about all of the wonderful things that the future holds. We also log lots of tape.
