Things are changing so rapidly that I've barely had time to process what I'm doing before it's on to the next thing. I'm in full-blown PIttsburgh mode now, and it's as though my summer at NPR was 100 years ago.
While I lack the time or energy to give a thoughtful reflection on my life at present, I do have time to share with you some glad tidings.

Now, you ask yourself, where did she find $300 to blow on a this pair of totally amazing kicks?
This is where the story gets good. Directly around the corner from my new home in the world's biggest studio apartment is a temple of discount designer merchandise, Avalon Exchange -- the consignment shop of my dreams. Rack after rack of gently used designer cast-offs for crazy prices. These exquisite slippers were made mine for a mere $40.
Mmm, Glorious.
